Computer Information Systems

Research Projects:
Various projects are in hand undertaken by the following research groups: Semantics and Verification Research Group (SVRG);
Software Engineering Process Improvement (SEPI);
Systems Software Research Group (SSRG).
The Department organises the Annual Computer Science Research Workshop (CSAW). The proceedings may be viewed online at: http://www.cs.um.edu.mt/~csaw/  As of the academic year 2007/8, the workshop will be organised by the Faculty of ICT as a faculty event.

Microelectronics & Nanoelectronics

  • Analogue low voltage / low power IC design;

Research Projects:
Design of a low voltage low phase noise 1.6 GHz PLL in 130 nm CMOS technology with quadrature output;
Design of a camera interface system for mono and stereo view applications (Part of FP6 Integrated Project SENSATION);
Design of a wireless sensor communication module for medical sensors (Part of FP6 Integrated Project SENSATION).
