Kunsill Studenti Universitarji (KSU)
The KSU represents students from University, Junior College, Medical School, Institute of Health Care and the Malta Centre of Restoration in all matters political, educational and cultural both on a national and international level. It also aims to promote Maltese students’ talents through activities and by offering various opportunities and services.

Għaqda tal-Malti - Università
This association was founded in 1931 by Rużar Briffa and Ġużè Bonnici and works towards the appreciation and prestige of the Maltese language and culture on campus and apart.

Għaqda Studenti tal-Kriminologija (GħSK) The Criminology Students' Society
The association is currently made up of all the students reading for the degree of B.A.(Hons) in Criminology. The aims of the association are mainly to raise awareness of Criminological issues in Malta and to improve the status and welfare of the member students.

Green Student Association

Grupp Universitarji Ghawdxin (GUG)
This group was founded in December 1987 on the initiative of a number of Gozitan students, and aims to promote the religious, cultural and social identity of its members, while increasing an awareness of the diverse aspects of Gozitan life.

History of Art Student Association (HoASA)
HoASA aims at increasing awareness of artistic heritage, with special emphasis on the Maltese one while acting as a voice for the History of Art student and promoting history of art as a discipline. It also creates an academic and social forum among students and ex-students.

International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE)
IAESTE is a dynamic international non-governmental organisation that coordinates the exchange of university students for work experience across a broad network of over 80 countries. IAESTE Malta prides itself in offering the largest technical student exchange programme in Malta with around 100 students benefiting from this opportunity.

Young European Federalists (JEF)
JEF is a supranational, political, pluralistic non-governmental youth organisation. It is independent of all political parties. Maltese Association of Gerontology & Geriatrics (MAGG)
The objectives of MAGG are to promote professional and educational advancement of gerontologists and geriatricians. The association places great emphasis on research-based mutual education by and of its own members throughout the world and stresses the importance of considering all the aspects of the elderly person, namely, physical, social, economic and psychological.

MKSU promotes Christian values on Campus and takes initiatives in social commitment. The members of the movement are students from various disciplines who believe that Christianity encourages an active lifestyle. People of all creeds and faith are welcome within this association.

MOVE! is an autonomous organisation which forms part of a global movement that has been striving for a better world in which people are not discriminated against on the basis of social status, gender, class and race. It believes in a just world free from wars, a culture which promotes tolerance, an economy based on the needs of society and fair trade.

Moviment Graffitti
Moviment Graffitti is a movement which highlights issues through direct action. This movement is active against all kinds of oppression and exploitation of people, the environment and animals, with a vision of freedom and radical democracy.

Malta University Film Club (MUFC)
The University Film Club was set up in 1969, and aims at promoting student interest in the art of cinematography by providing films of high quality to its audience.

Malta University Historical Society (MUHS)
MUHS was founded in 1978 by Professor Andrew Vella, with the aim of encouraging the study and appreciation of history especially at tertiary level. Whilst aimed directly towards undergraduate and graduate historians, it is open to all those who love history and who wish to further its study. Once every two years, the society publishes the widely acclaimed journal, STORJA.

Malta University Sports Club (MUSC)
The club aims at combining academic activity with physical activity in the life of the students, and regularly organises individual and team competitions in a number of different sporting activities. These include Soccer, Table-Tennis, Snooker, Athletics and Basketball. Other activities such as Volleyball, Hockey, Judo, Darts, Tablesoccer, Tennis, Windsurfing and Rock-Climbing have all also found their way into the calendar in recent years.

Pulse
PULSE is a university-based student organisation which serves as a support group for students both in post-secondary and tertiary institutions. PULSE is active in policy planning on behalf of students, a leader in student-services and as a student representative on Faculty Boards and students’ councils.

Studenti Demokristjani Maltin (SDM)
The SDM is concerned with protecting the rights of Maltese students, has its own political manifesto and also publishes a number of studies and surveys on current affairs, aimed at enhancing student participation in the political arena and society in general.

Smile for Albania
Smile for Albania has been providing humanitarian dental care for students at Preca College and children from state schools in Korce, Albania since 1994. The dental team is composed of staff and students from the University’s Department of Dental Surgery under the direction of Dr Charles Galea, President of Smile for Albania and Professor John M. Portelli, former Dean of the Faculty.

Society for African Studies
The aim of the society is to promote studies and related activities about African historical, political, economic and sociological issues and affairs. This is expected to contribute to better education, awareness and cross-cultural relations within the academic community and Maltese society at large.

Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE, University of Malta)

University Music Association (UMA)
UMA has organised several concerts for university students and staff to increase the awareness of music on campus. The association is also concerned with matters that involve its members following the Music Studies courses of the Mediterranean Institute.

University of Malta Geographical Society (UMGS)
The UMGS is a student organisation which aims to promote the relevance of geography. The Society organises academic and social events and provides academic support to improve geographical research. UMGS aims is to develop awareness about the importance of geography and about the latest research in this area of study.

Żgħażagħ Għall-Ambjent Università  (ŻGħAU)
ZGHAU is the University branch of Moviment għall-Ambjent, and was formally launched in 1987. It shares the aims of its parent organisation and the worldwide environment movement and regularly organises a number of activities such as fora and exhibitions.
