In August 2008 the acclaimed Scottish poet and critic, Douglas Dunn, gave a well-attended poetry reading in the Old University Courtyard in Valletta, organised jointly by the English Department and the Communications office as part of the 2008 ‘Evenings on Campus’ season. During his visit he met with students of the Department and discussed, among other things, the students’ participation in the Department’s Creative Writing programme. The evening was
