The Chaplaincy aims at assisting the members of the University of Malta in their growth as individuals and as a Church community to celebrate and live the message of Christ.
The ministry of evangelisation is directed to all at University, through:
- dialogue with all sectors
- commitment to justice, especially where the ‘poor’ are concerned
- worship
- education opportunities for faith development
- the discernment of God’s will.
The University Chaplaincy focuses its ministry through distinct areas of action as coordinated by the central Chaplaincy Council, consisting of a core group of priests and laity, representing the staff and student body of the University, together with the Chaplain, Fr Michael Bugeja sj.
Each area of action is a means of reaching the central aims of the University Chaplaincy. Yet each area of action is also an exciting space where students can be active and creative whilst spreading the Good News.
