Simone Galea is associate professor of philosophy of education at the Department of Education Studies. Her lecturing and research focus on philosophy of education, feminist philosophy and theory, narrative inquiry and teachers' self development, educational research methodology,teachers and professional ethics, the teaching of ethics. She studied at the University of Malta and then at The Nottingham Trent University where she was awarded a scholarship to complete her PhD studies at the Faculties of Education and Humanities. She was a visiting lecturer at the University of Cyprus in 2008 and a visiting scholar at The Moray School of Education, the University of Edinburgh in 2009. She was also a teacher in primary, secondary and post secondary schools.
