The scope of this e-learning programme is to enable qualified health care professionals to develop critical thinking, reading and writing skills through questioning their practice and ultimately becoming more effective in their work. In so doing, they will upgrade their traditional, diploma or higher diploma level professional qualification to a bachelor's level academic qualification. The programme consists of a minimum of 60 ECTS credits* divided into study units carrying a weight of 10 ECTS each. Students need to complete 3 compulsory study units and a minimum of 3 elective study units in order to successfully complete this programme.
UM currently hosts over 1,000 full-time international students and over 450 visiting students. The ever-increasing international students coming from various countries, in recent years, have transformed this 400-year old institution into an international campus.
Given its online nature, this course may be followed by students who do not reside in Malta.
