Target students:

Open to all students with an interest in developing skills and abilities to effectively plan a career

Learning outcomes:

By participating in this programme students will:

1. Develop self awareness towards career planning.
2. Identify key elements for decision making.
3. Equip themselves with the right tools to be able to identify career prospects and job opportunities.
4. Develop skills in idea generation, networking, team building and leadership.
5. Enhance their personal success skills.
6. Learning how to write a CV and preparing for a job interview

Content:

The sessions will cover the following:

Preparing for a Job Interview: what to ask yourself, tips to boost confidence, CV writing.

Branding oneself: effective communication and presentation skills.

Teamwork and team leaders: how to work in a team, employer – employee relationship, tackling harmony and tension in a team.

Networking: building bridges with people, developing business partnerships and using the best resources within your team.

Idea generation and the spirit of Enterprise: can a graduate become an entrepreneur? Is entrepreneurship only for self employed?
