| DESCRIPTION | Contact: music.degreeplus@um.edu.mt Pre-requisite: Ability to play one of the musical instruments falling under this category Note: Following registration students will be asked to attend an informal audition. Objectives This course is open to students playing the euphonium, B flat baritones, tuba, trumpet, horn (French horn) and trombone. Students participating in this module will follow training sessions aimed at improving their playing capabilities. They will receive individual tuition as well as the opportunity to play in ensembles. They will learn how to create different sonorities and will be introduced to high quality pieces. Students may be assigned to separate groups according to the instrument they play and/or their level of proficiency which will be assessed during the informal audition. At the end of the course, the level of performance of the participants will improve making them capable of forming part of a pool of musicians that can aspire to participate in high quality public performances.
