The University of Malta has teamed up with Bank of Valletta to offer DegreePlus, an exciting new programme aimed at providing all university students with the opportunity to augment their academic studies with additional skills and experiences that can enhance their character and employability. DegreePlus is not about 'credits'. Its units are intended to emphasize fun, employability and the chance to enjoy a more holistic approach to formal education. On graduating participants will be entitled to receive a Degreeplus certificate listing the units followed during their time at university.

In the academic year 2008 / 2009, DegreePlus will be offering units in the following streams:

Culture and Heritage
Entrepreneurship and Careers
ICT
Voluntary Work
Languages
Music
Wellness and Sport
Work with Student Organisations
Other Activities

These units are available to ALL university students and will normally run on Wednesdays, noon - 2pm, a time-table slot dedicated to DegreePlus. In addition to this, DegreePlus also organises activites aimed primarily at postgraduate students. Further details will be available shortly.
