The Department of Dental Surgery is responsible for providing the clinical training leading to the B.Ch.D. degree. Having completed their Basic Medical Sciences course, students are exposed to didactic learning and practical sessions where they are expected to become competent in Child Dental Health and Orthodontics; Oral Medicine, Surgery and Pathology; Preventive and Community Dentistry and Restorative Dentistry. Students will also undertake courses in General Medicine and Surgery, Ethics and Jurisprudence, Pharmacology and Therapeutics and in Behavioural Sciences.

Attendance Records

The current attendance status of Clinical Students may be viewed by following this link [pdf].

Please note that students whose overall attendance falls below 92% over the whole year will not be allowed to sit for the end of year exam.
