| DESCRIPTION | This study-unit is intended to famaliarize the student with the Environmental Policies of the European Union, including the international and regional conventions adhered to by the European Union. It is intended to cover the following topics:- 1. The European Union’s Programme of Action on the Environment. 2. The basic sectors of European Union Environmental Legislation, namely:-     a. Water     b. Air     c. Wastes     d. Chemicals     e. Noise     f. Flora     g. Fauna     h. Pollution     i. Nuclear Safety 3. Specific aspects of European Union Environmental Law:-     a.
