Q1: I intend to apply for the B.Ed Course this October
(2008). I have already passed both English and Maltese Proficiency
Tests set by the University of Malta. Are these passes still valid for
entry in October 2008, or do I have to sit for them again?

If you have passed the tests in previous years you do not have to do
them again as these will still be valid for Intake October 2008.
Q2:
I am a mature student. Do I still need to pass the proficiency
tests in English and Maltese and ECDL for the B.Ed. (Hons) course?
A2:
Yes, besides University General Entry Requirements and Special Course
Requirements pertaining to their chosen area of specialisation, ALL
applicants wishing to join the B.Ed (Hons) course commencing in October
2008 need to be in possession of the following qualifications, prior to
commencement of the course:
For B.Ed (Hons.) Primary Education:
- passes in proficiency tests in English AND Maltese approved by the Faculty
- European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)
For B.Ed (Hons.) Secondary Education:
- a pass in proficiency test in English approved by the Faculty
- European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)
Applicants
not in possession of the above-listed qualifications by 1st October
2008, will not be eligible for admission to the course.

I am a prospective applicant for the B.Ed/PGCE course for Intake
October 2008. If I will not have the ECDL by 1st October 2008 will I be
allowed to join the B.Ed/PGCE course?
A4: No, you will not be allowed to join the B.Ed/PGCE course if you do not obtain a pass in the ECDL by 1st October 2008.
