DESCRIPTION | The “Specialisation unit” privileges self-directed learning and the articulation of Individual Study Plans linked to the dissertation topic that students have chosen. Students are expected to develop an Individual Study Plan [ISP] in relation to their dissertation topic. The ISP requires the approval of the dissertation tutor as well as the Course Co-ordinator. Typically, the ISP includes self-directed study (e.g. critical book reviews), reporting outcomes of related conferences, reports on study visits abroad, attendance of post-graduate level courses at the UoM or at other universities internationally, and so on. The specialisation programme is also meant to provide students the opportunity to present their work-in-progress, for critical feedback from invited lecturers and the rest of the MA students. Guidelines for organising an Individual Study Plan are included in course Guide Book. | ||||||
