P1.2016: Full-time MSc on Machine Interpretation of Sketched Drawings


  1. A full-time MSc by Research post on a project in the area of machine interpretation of sketches, particularly in the vectorisation of drawings with artistic cues, such as hatched shadows among others.
  2. Students must be in possession of, or expect to obtain, at least a Second Class Honours degree ideally in one of the following areas (or any other related area): Electrical & Electronic Engineering or ICT. Ideal candidates must have a good background in signal processing; an interest in image processing and computer vision; an aptitude for mathematics and proficiency in programming including MATLAB.
