This research project, funded by a grant from the University of Malta, focuses on the design of closed loop control systems. Emphasis will be placed on the latest approaches to modelling and control of dynamic systems which exhibit varied degrees of complexity such as nonlinear dynamics, multiple inputs and outputs, dynamic uncertainty and time-varying functionals or parameters. The project aims to consider both the theoretical and the practical aspects by development of relevant theory, simulation studies and implementation/evaluation on physical, laboratory-scale pilot plant.
