The teaching activities of the Department encompass both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

At undergraduate level, the Department delivers study units in signal processing, system modelling, classical and modern control theory, intelligent control, automation and robot control, as part of the Bachelor of Engineering - B.Eng.(Hons) - degree course offered by the Faculty of Engineering. At postgraduate level, the Department offers a study unit in digital control as part of the Master of Science in Engineering - M.Sc. in Engineering - degree course.

Plans are currently in hand to offer a full-time postgraduate taught course at Masters level in the future. This programme will cover the areas of study falling within the scope of the Department.

The Department also offers postgraduate research programmes leading to the M.Sc. and M.Phil/Ph.D degrees. Detailed information concerning research areas of interest, current research students and research projects can be found under the research section of this website.
