This module discusses materials like tool steels and ceramics used in the manufacturing of tools as well as materials used in the manufacture of product.

Learning Outcomes
The student would acquire knowledge on the various materials including metals, polymers, ceramics and composites, which knowledge he should be able to apply in the selection of materials suitable for tooling and products.
