A Tribute to Charles Camilleri
An Evening of Music and Song

Composer Charles Camilleri, who died earlier this year, has left us an incredibly rich legacy of strikingly beautiful and evocative music of which we are all proud.

The University of Malta (Gozo Campus) will pay tribute to the composer in an evening of music and song chosen from his wide and varied repertoire.  The event, followed by a reception, will take place at the Central Courtyard of the University of Malta (Gozo Campus) on Friday 28 August at 2000hrs.

The programme includes a number of Camilleri's more popular works, featuring some of the songs he wrote for Joe Friggieri's lyrical ballads.

Like similar events held at the same venue in previous years, this year's concert promises to offer patrons an enjoyable evening of live performances al fresco in the ideal setting of the charming central courtyard.

Admission is free of charge. Bookings are to be made at the University of Malta (Gozo Campus), Mġarr Road, Xewkija, by telephone +356 21 564559, fax +356 21 564550 or by email. Those wishing to attend are advised to book by 24 August 2009 to reserve a seat.
