| Ms Josette Caruana is a certified public accountant, and she worked as an Accountant in the private sector, mainly in the Hospitality Industry. It was during this period that she studied for her professional qualification. She still practices her profession to keep abreast of developments in Accountancy.
Ms Josette Caruana’s teaching experience kicked off in 1992 and since then she has taught Accounting at various levels and in different institutions, including, Paolino Vassallo Upper Lyceum (now part of MCAST) and the Junior College.
Ms Caruana read for her Masters at the University of Malta and graduated with distinction in November 2007.
Ms Caruana’s main subject at the University is “Cost and Management Accounting”, and she is, as well, the co-ordinator of “Accounting Theory and Practice” for first year B. Comm. Ms Caruana is involved in the development of a new Diploma Course for the Public Sector and a member of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Committee of the Department of Accountancy.
