Mr Chircop joined the Department of Accountancy at the University of Malta in 2008 as Assistant Lecturer. His current research interests include areas of corporate finance and international financial reporting.

Mr Chircop received his secondary education at St Augustine's College, Pietà following which he attended the G.F. Abela Junior College. Mr Chircop graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) degree in 2007, after which, he continued his studies at the University of Aberdeen, UK, whereby in 2008 he graduated with a M.Sc. (ECON) Accounting and Finance. Mr Chircop is also a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and a Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD).

Mr Chircop enjoys reading and travelling.
