Mr Godwin Mifsud is a part-time lecturer in Econometrics. He graduated from the University of Malta in 2002 with a B.Com. (Hons) in Economics (First Class) and pursued his studies at the University of Essex in the UK where he read for an M.Sc. in Economics (Distinction) in 2004. In 2007 he graduated with an M.A. in Public Policy from the University of Malta.
His main research interests include:
- The economics of ageing and the reform of the welfare state.
- Sustainability of public finances.
- The relationship between rules, institutions and budget performance.
Godwin Mifsud is currently a Senior Economist at the Economic Policy Division within the Ministry of Finance, the Economy and Investment and is a member of the Working Group on Ageing Populations and Sustainability and the Working Group on Output Gaps of the Economic Policy Committee (EPC).
