Ms. Amanda Borg is a part-time lecturer in Introductory Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. Her main fields of research include education economics, human capital theory and welfare reform.
Ms. Borg graduated Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Economics in 2004 and obtained a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Malta in 2006. She was employed in the public sector for six years and served as Commission Officer at the National Commission for Higher Education and as Research Officer at the Malta Council for Economic and Social Development. She has also lectured economics to public officers within the Staff Development Organization.
Ms. Borg is currently engaged as an economic consultant in the private sector, where she is involved in a number of local and international consultancy projects. She also serves on the Appeals Board of the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre and on the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority (MCCAA) Board.
