Overall Aims of the Programme

The Marketing Diploma programme gives participants the knowledge they need to understand the vital role of marketing in the success of any company.  Whether one plans to be a marketing professional or to manage a marketing department, the Marketing Diploma programme provides one with the essentials to get started.

Learning Outcomes

This marketing Diploma qualification  aims to help participants  with the ‘how to’ aspect  of marketing planning, enables the participants  to develop as the ‘marketing professional’ The focus moves from the theoretical aspects of marketing towards the many skills needed to manage the function itself – including elements  ranging from channel management to communications, along with specialist areas like new product development.

Details of Career Opportunities and Access to Further Studies

Graduates with a Diploma in Marketing qualify for a variety of roles in private, public and non profit organizations.  A Diploma in Marketing prepares participants to enter most of the various marketing fields at mid-level positions; common jobs include direct marketing, marketing research, public relations and promotions, product marketing, purchasing and transportation, business development and brand management.
The Diploma in Marketing attained at a Merit level gives students access to  the Masters of Business Administration degree offered both locally and many universities abroad.

Details of Target Audience

The Diploma in Marketing is for persons  with operational responsibility and an eye on management including department managers, functional managers, product/brand managers, accounts managers, agency managers, marketing executives and business development managers or others aspiring for these positions.
