Dr Tanya Sammut-Bonnici is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Malta and an Associate Fellow at the University of Warwick. Her academic specialisation is Strategic Marketing and Strategic Management of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT).

eBay, Google, Yahoo, Philips, IBM, BT and Time Warner are some of the international clients who have engaged Tanya on research projects. Tanya was a founding member of the Partnership Development Forum - a roundtable formed by marketing strategy directors from IBM, Ericsson, Motorola, Marconi, Nortel Networks and Nokia in the United Kingdom.

Dr Sammut-Bonici has acted as advisor for the European Parliamentary Hearings on Consumer Confidence in the Digital Environment, organised by the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO). She has contributed to the EU Parliamentary Regulations on roaming through her research for the European Parliamentary Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE). She also worked on European policy development on space exploration, which were topical in the late 80s.

Earlier in her career, Tanya held Marketing and Sales Management posts at Vodafone and Melita Communications, a United Artists company. She has held local and international consulting roles within the financial, retailing and manufacturing industries.

Dr Sammut-Bonnici’s work on strategic innovation and evolution of innovation is published in international journals, and her stream of research has earned her scholarships from Cambridge University, the Commonwealth, Fulbright and nominations for best papers awards at the Strategic Management Society in the USA.
