Ms Claire Briffa read for a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management and Economics, and was conferred a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) in Economics in 1997. After graduating from the University of Strathclyde, UK in 2004 obtaining an M.Sc. in International Marketing, Claire started tutoring at the University of Malta, and took up a visiting lecturer’s position. In 2009, she was appointed a part-time assistant lecturer.
Claire started her career with the Malta Tourism Authority and was a marketing manager with Malta’s leading catalogue company. She was also a local lecturer for the London School of Politics and Economics undergraduate degree courses.
In addition to her academic work, she is a director of Appletree International Ltd, a marketing consultancy and training company.
She is an Associate Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Secretary of the recently setup Chartered Institute of Marketing Members Group, Malta.
Research interests:
Her research interests include customer relationship management, e-marketing, Web 2.0, marketing communications, destination marketing, call centre management.
