With whom we work closely
| The Department of Public Policy is a leading partner of the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) whose scope is that of developing the future generation of public sector leaders, and promoting policy formulation as a profession. Close links have also been established with the Centre for Labour Studies at the University of Malta. |
The Department has close ties with all the other subdivisions within FEMA, namely the Departments of Economics, Management, Finance and Banking, Accountancy, Social Policy and Work, Insurance, Marketing, and Tourism Studies. |
|
The European Documentation and Research Centre (EDRC) within the University of Malta also has strong connections with the Department of Public Policy, and in fact a number of past and present students switch from our Department to EDRC, or vice versa, to pursue with their postgraduate programmes. |
The Department is also represented on the Board of Studies of Postgraduate Courses run by the International Environmental Institute and the Faculty for the Built Environment. It also teaches modules in the Masters of Business Studies (MBA) run by FEMA. |
The Department of Public Policy is also proud of having established a memorandum of understanding with Competitive Malta Foundation on topics relating to research activities on domestic competitiveness. This partnership between the academic arena and one of the foremost local think-tanks is a reference point on policy-related matters associated with making Malta a wealthier and wiser nation - a place investors can trust and a place where good ideas can be lent an attentive ear. |
