DESCRIPTION | Rationale & Learning Objectives: A report is an important part of a genre of transactional writing - a genre of writing that is intended to convey factual information. Learning to write effective reports is an important skill for students to learn and refine, as they play a major part in many areas including business organizations, science, environment, technology, commerce, media and community involvement. Many people think of reports as dry, laborious documents that take up a great deal of time and effort to prepare. Some wonder whether reports are worth all the effort and the money spent to produce them. In reality, professionally written reports can be a life-line to an organisation’s future, an enhancement to your Company’s corporate image.
