DESCRIPTION The study-unit introduces the different methods of data collection and analysis, as well as probability, random variables, sampling and hypothesis testing. Students cover index numbers, time series analysis and learn to design surveys. Correlation, regression and variance analysis are also mastered. Finally in computing, students are introduces to programming languages including BASIC, as well as software applications along with statistical analysis packages.

Study-unit Aims:

This study-unit introduces students to quantitative techniques and data analysis in a business context. The importance of computers and relevant applications are also covered.
