DESCRIPTION The study-unit introduces the field of online research, providing information on the current resources and future trends. The study-unit provides an analysis of interactive marketing research software and reviews the principles and practices for technology based research.

Study-unit Aims:

The study-unit aims to provide a practical outlook on technology based research. It provides an overview of online marketing research practices, interactive processes, with an emphasis on interactive marketing research design, data collection, analysis and presentation.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Knowledge & Understanding:

By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to define the functionality of online research and list the applications available on the market. Students will be able to match the available technology with the research objectives and recognize the strengths and weaknesses of different research technology methods.

2. Skills:

By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to:
­ Construct Measurement Scales and Indexes;
­ Develop Attitude Measurement;
­ Apply Questioning Techniques;
­ Evaluate Resources for Online Quantitative Research;
­ Design Web Surveys;
­ Work with Online Panels and Databases;
­ Analysing Online Data;
­ Present Online Survey Reports.
