DESCRIPTION Study-unit Aims:

The course is intended to expose students to important econometric techniques used in empirical Economics and to facilitate awareness in students of how these techniques can be used and applied. Building on the material covered in Econometrics I and Econometrics II this intermediate course will further develop and understanding of theory and methodology and also develop the ability of students to apply conometric theory to real world examples.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Knowledge & Understanding:
By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to:

- Have a knowledge and understanding of intermediate techniques and skills in econometrics
- Have an awareness of how to apply econometric models in practice to relevant data

2. Skills:
By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to:

- Be able to demonstrate their familiarity with an econometric software program
