DESCRIPTION | Objectives The course complements the preceding Human Resource Management course (MGT3041) by deepening and broadening the understanding and practice of people management in organizations. Content The course addresses the shifting role and responsibilities of the evolving HR function in organizations emphasizing the importance of the unique contextual realities and the emerging contingent approaches to the effective management of people in organisations. Students are involved in exploring specialist HR interventions to promote employee involvement, performance management, team working and team learning, through an analysis of case studies ranging from people management practices in Malta to personnel/HR management ideology and practice in a number of European countries.
