The Department maintains a respectable national and international profile. Its academic members regularly participate in both local and international conferences and publish their research in reputable academic journals.

It has meanwhile just launched a Diabetes Foot Research Group in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery and Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Health, Staffordshire University UK.

The department is visited regularly by external examiners from prestigious academic institutions to ensure international standards of learning, and it periodically invites distinguished scholars from overseas universities to lecture on specific topics.

It is additionally the department’s policy to encourage both student and staff mobility to the full through participation in Erasmus and other exchange programmes with overseas universities.

Opening Ceremony and Meetings for Freshers
Lectures for continuing day and evening courses are set to commence on Monday, 25th September 2017, whilst lectures for new students following day and evening courses will commence on Thursday, 5th October 2017. Details on the opening ceremony and compulsory meetings for freshers are available here

A list of courses to be offered by the Faculty of Health Sciences, together with details on individual courses and links to further information on the procedure for application submission are available via the prospective students page.

Dates for interviews that will be held with applicants for limited number courses (in the event of over-subscription), as well as interviews to be held with applicants considered in terms of the ‘Adult Learner’ clause are available here.
