DESCRIPTION | The student will observe and carry out practice under the required supervision during the clinical placements. Practice will take place in the clinical setting and the clinical labs. Study-unit Aims: At the end of this study-unit, the student will reach the required level of competence, as specified in the Practice Portfolio. Learning Outcomes: 1. Knowledge & Understanding: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - Show evidence of having the necessary skills that would facilitate the engagement in professional development discussions with peers; - Show responsibility and accountability for specific nursing procedures. 2. Skills: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - Communicate using a broad range of communication skills; - Utilize approriate interpersonal skills that foster effective interdisciplinary patient care; - Critically evaluates the effectiveness of implemented patient care plans; - Demonstrate ability to provide evidence-based practice.
