Study-unit Aims:

This study-unit is aimed to equip students with practical skills to carry out health promotion sessions to individuals. - show an ability to relate knowledge of the key concepts of the various socio-cognitive models and to the individual's health behaviour;
- demonstrate skills that show student's understanding of coping theories to health behaviour change.

2. Skills:

By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to:
- discuss rationale for one's health behaviour in view of theories of health, health beliefs and socio-cognitive influences;
- show an ability to intervene appropriately in health education one-to-one sessions;
