Ms Tania Attard

Tania was employed as a Clerk with this office in July 1996, and was promoted to Executive Officer in April 2000. Tania's area of  expertise is recruitment and she deals with all the University Calls for Application. Tania is also responsible for the progression and assimilation of salary scales of University employees. She also lends a helping hand to other members of staff when required, such as updating of the personnel records.  As from September 2008, Tania has been promoted to the grade of Administrative Assistant.

Karen Cacciattolo

Karen joined this Office in February 2007 after 12 years administrative experience within the Faculty of Economics, Management & Accountancy of the University of Malta, and is presently responsible for the Training and Development Services area.  She is also responsible for the Office's website, contracts of employment, and various other projects as required by the Director.  Karen was employed as a Clerk in April 1994.  She was promoted to the grade of Executive Officer in March 1997 and as Administrative Assistant in May 2002.  Karen studied part-time for a Diploma in Management Studies between October 2001 and June 2004 and eventually obtained a Masters degree in Training & Human Resource Management from University of Leicester in July 2007.  Karen is presently reading for a Doctorate in Social Science with the same University.  She has also visited the University of Westminster in London and the Universita' Degli Studi di Roma 'Foro Italico' in Rome, in connection with staff exchange programmes in the areas of human resources management and development.

Antoinette Camilleri

Antoinette has been employed as a Clerk with the Office for Human Resources Management & Development since January 1993. Her work involves the management and updating of personnel files. Antoinette has gained extensive experience in the day-to-day operations of the Office and she was promoted to the grade of Executive Officer in April 2000.  She has been promoted to the grade of Administrative Assistant in July 2008.

Mr Louis Coleiro

Health & Safety Officer, Health & Safety Services
Louis has been with the Office for Human Resources Management & Development since 2004 where he was employed as a Health & Safety Officer, and since then working on improvements in this area for the benefit of all University employees. Coming from the Ship Repair Industry and having further experience within the inspectorate of the Occupational Health & Safety Authority (OHSA), he specialised in Occupational Health & Safety where he graduated in 1998 and since then continued his studies in this area. A Chartered member of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) and a registered competent person within the annals of the OHSA (Malta).  Louis is presently reading for a Masters Degree in Occupational & Environmental Health & Safety Management  with University of Portsmouth.

Rosanne

Rosanne was employed as a clerk at the University of Malta in August 1997.  She carried out duties within the Procurement Section of the Finance Office and her main tasks included the vetting and inputting of purchase orders.  Rosanne was promoted to the grade of Executive Officer in May 2002 and since November 2008, she took up duties with the Office for Human Resources Management & Development, where she is involved with the Academic Work Resources Fund.  Rosanne obtained the Diploma in Management Studies in June 2005 and in August 2008 completed her MBA (Executive) Degree with the University of Malta.

Ms Laura Falzon
Clerk, Personnel Management Services
Laura joined the University of Malta in May 2008 and is currently involved with the Personnel records within the Office for Human Resources Management & Development. She is mainly responsible for the vacation and sick leave records, and attendance records of all University employees.  Prior to joining the University, Laura has occupied a clerical post within the Travel Industry.  

Kristina Micallef

Kristina has been working with the Office for Human Resources Management & Development since August 2007 where she was employed as a clerk, assisting in the Recruitment Services. In November of the same year, she has been promoted to the grade of Graduate Trainee and she is presently involved with Training and Development Services. Kristina holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology.

Elvia Pace

Elvia has been employed with the University of Malta since October 1995, where she held the post of Registry Clerk. Her main duties were opening of administration files and student files every academic year. Elvia was promoted to the grade of Executive Officer in April 2000. She took up duties within the Office for Human Resources Management and Development in September 2004. Elvia has gained experience in record keeping and updating of staff personal files, and is also involved with the Academic Work Resources Fund and Recruitment Services.  Elvia has been promoted to the grade of Administrative Assistant in July 2008.

Victoria Perici

Victoria has been employed as a clerk with the Office for Human Resources Management since September 1997.  Victoria is presently the personal assistant of the Director for Human Resources Management & Development, and is also involved with Academic Support Services. Victoria gained experience in the area of Human Resources Management and has also been involved with Scholarship Applications and Awards. She was promoted to the grade of Executive Officer in the year 2002 and as Administrative Assistant in September 2008.

Nadia Pirotta

Clerk, Personnel Management Services
Nadia joined the Office for Human Resources Management & Development in December 2007 as a Clerk, and is presently involved with keeping personnel files up-to-date.  Nadia started working at the University of Malta in 2005 and was involved in the area of Library Services.

 

Stefan Sacco

Mr Stefan Sacco

Executive Officer, Personnel Management Services
Stefan joined the University of Malta in 2004 and is currently an Executive Officer responsible for IT and the Personnel records within the Office for Human Resources Management & Development. Prior to joining the University, he has occupied various positions within the HR field with different local companies and entities. Stefan is in possession of a Diploma in Management Studies and is currently pursuing an MBA (Executive) degree with the University of Malta.
