Mr Henry Aquilina

Henry joined the Office in April 2010 and is presently involved with the day-to-day operations of the Recruitment and Personnel Management Services. He is mainly responsible for processing the employment of the Visiting Teaching Staff and the Casual Resources. Henry is also involved in keeping the Office's website up-to-date.

Ms Tania Attard
Administrative Assistant, Recruitment Services

Tania was employed as a Clerk with this office in July 1996.  She was promoted to the grade of Executive Officer in April 2000 and to the grade of Administrative Assistant in September 2008. Tania deals with Calls for Application and is responsible for the progression and assimilation of salary scales of University employees.

Analise joined the University of Malta in October of 2009.  She is presently involved in the day-to-day operations of the Salaries Section.

Administrative Assistant, Projects
Danielle joined the Office for Human Resources Management & Development in March 2011 when she was promoted to the grade of Administrative Assistant, and now assists in the running of the day-to-day operations of the Projects section. Danielle was previously responsible for administrative tasks within the Departments of Medicine and Paediatrics as well as the organisation of conferences and committees held within the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery.

Greta joined the University of Malta in March 2013 and is currently involved in Personnel records management within the Office for Human Resources Management & Development. She is mainly responsible for the vacation, sick leave, and attendance records of all University employees.  Prior to joining the University, Greta occupied clerical posts within the Ministry of Education & Employment and the Health Department.

Ms Karen Cacciattolo

Senior Project Support Officer, Projects
Karen joined this Office in February 2007 and has been involved in a variety of projects, including the designing of the induction programme, putting in place the process of visiting and casual staff, contracts of employment, and short training courses.  She also woked extensively on the policies and procedures of the office in preparation for the business process re-engineerig. She is presently reading for the Doctor of Social Science degree with the University of Leicester.

Fiona has been employed with the Office in November 2011.  She has extensive experience in office related work and is presently responsible for the issuing of the Contracts of Employment.

Head of Salaries
Lina is responsible for the  Salaries Section within the Office for Human Resources Management and  Development. She ensures the  correct timely  payment  of all salaries payable to University of Malta and Junior College employees. Among other things Lina also ensures the upkeep of the service record for each and every employee.  Lina holds a Diploma in Social Studies (Industrial Relations) from the University of Malta.

Ms Antoinette Camilleri
Administrative Assistant, Recruitment Services
Antoinette has been employed as a Clerk with the Office for Human Resources Management & Development since January 1993. Her work involved the management and updating of personnel files. Antoinette was promoted to the grade of Executive Officer in April 2000 and to the grade of Administrative Assistant in July 2008.  She is presently responsible for the calls for application in connection with projects.

Roderick has been employed at the Office in November 2011 and is presently involved with the day-to-day operations of the Health & Safety Services.

Tiziana was employed by the University of Malta in 2004 where she held the post of Clerk at the Salaries Section.  Tiziana was promoted to the grade of Executive Officer in 2007 and to the grade of Administrative Assistant in January 2011.  She is presently involved in the day-to-day operations of the Salaries Section.

Ms Amanda Ciantar

Administrative Assistant, Academic Services
Amanda joined the Office for Human Resources Management & Development in March 2009 as a Graduate Trainee.  Presently she is working within the remit of the Academic Support Services Unit and is responsible for the Staff Affairs Committee, Academic Resources Fund and the Orientation Programme for new members of support staff.  Amanda also works with Karen in the organising of in-house activites, mainly the marketing side.  She obtained a B.A. (Hons) in Geography in December 2007 from the University of Malta and will graduate with a Masters degree in Human Resource Management and Development from the University of Leicester in January 2012.

Mr Louis Coleiro

Health & Safety Officer, Health & Safety Services
Louis has been with the Office for Human Resources Management & Development since 2004 where he was employed as a Health & Safety Officer, and since then working on improvements in this area for the benefit of all University employees. Coming from the Ship Repair Industry and having further experience within the inspectorate of the Occupational Health & Safety Authority (OHSA), he specialised in Occupational Health & Safety where he graduated in 1998 and since then continued his studies in this area. A Chartered member of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) and a registered competent person within the annals of the OHSA (Malta).  In July 2009, Louis graduated with a Masters in Occupational & Environmental Health & Safety Management from the University of Portsmouth.

Roseanne Ms Rosanne Debattista
MBA (Executive), Dip. Mangt.
Executive Officer, Recruitment Services
Rosanne was employed as a clerk at the University of Malta in August 1997.  She carried out duties within the Procurement Section of the Finance Office and her main tasks included the vetting and inputting of purchase orders.  She was promoted to the grade of Executive Officer in May 2002 and since November 2008, she took up duties with the Office for Human Resources Management & Development, where she has been responsible for the contracts of employment and is now involved with the recruitment of the Visiting and Casual Staff.  Rosanne obtained the Diploma in Management Studies in June 2005 and in August 2008 completed her MBA (Executive) Degree with the University of Malta.

Ms Laura Falzon

Laura joined the University of Malta in May 2008 and is currently involved with the Personnel records within the Office for Human Resources Management & Development. She is mainly responsible for the vacation and sick leave records, and attendance records of all University employees.  Prior to joining the University, Laura has occupied a clerical post within the Travel Industry.

Mersia joined the University of Malta in September 2012 as a Clerk with the Office for Human Resources Management & Development. She is currently involved with the updating of personnel files and is reading for her final year of the Diploma in Management with the same University.

Ms Kristina Galea

Kristina has been working with the Office for Human Resources Management & Development since August 2007 where she was employed as a clerk, assisting in the Recruitment Services. She has been promoted to the grade of Graduate Trainee in November 2007 and to the grade of Administrative Assistant in January 2011.  She has been responsible for the Kids on Campus administration and the day-to-day operations of the Training and Development Services. Presently she is involved with the Personnel Management Services Section.  Kristina holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology.

Ms Victoria Perici
Administrative Officer, Academic Services & Personal Assistant to the Director
Victoria has been employed as a clerk with the Office for Human Resources Management since September 1997.  Victoria is presently the personal assistant of the Director for Human Resources Management & Development, and is also involved with Academic Support Services. Victoria gained experience in the area of Human Resources Management and has also been involved with Scholarships & Bursaries Applications and Awards. She was promoted to the grade of Executive Officer in the year 2002, as Administrative Assistant in September 2008 and as Administrative Officer in 2012.

Ms Alexia Sue Schembri
Clerk, Personnel Management Services
Alexia joined the Office for Human Resources Management & Development as a Clerk in December 2008, and is presently involved with the Human Resources Management Database System.
