WISEflow is a digital assessment platform used for the administration of the above exam types. It can also be used for essay-based exams. WISEflow has a plagiarism detection facility. The workshop will cover the process of setting up and administering an examination session on WISEflow.

Target audience: UM academic staff who will be setting up exams on WISEflow
Duration of Session: 1 hour
This session will provide a brief introductory overview to WISEflow and will cater for members of staff who are unfamiliar with this platform. This session will assist academics to transition from a pen-and-paper based exam to one that is made available digitally on WISEflow. A demonstration of how to use the FLOWassign mode of examination will be given.
Furthermore, this session will provide users with a broad overview of the more sophisticated options provided by FLOWmulti type of exams.

Target audience: UM academic staff who will be setting up exams on WISEflow using more advanced features, such as multiple-choice questions and short-answer or essay type computer based questions.
Prerequisite: The training session entitled: An Introduction to the Author role on WISEflow (Academic staff) delivered by Professor Victor Buttigieg.
NB: Note that FLOWmulti does not allow the use of plagiarism detection software. However, plagiarism detection is possible with FLOWassign.

This session builds on the "An Introduction to the Author role on WISEflow" by delving deeper into the functions of WISEflow. It will assist academics to build examination papers that contain essay type questions, multiple-choice questions, short-answer questions or true/false questions directly on WISEflow using FLOWmulti. It will also show how some of these question types may be set up so as to be automatically assessed by WISEflow. Furthermore, this session will delve into the use of the content bank feature of WISEflow which enables the author to create a repository which can later be used in creating examination papers.

This training will be delivered online and is targeted for UM academics who will be assessing exams on WISEflow and therefore will be assigned the Assessor role. Both FLOWassign and FLOWmulti type of exams will be covered.
This workshop will provide an overview of WISEflow’s built-in assessor tool and how this can be used to complete the assessment of exams on your computer.

Target audience: UM Administrative staff who have been administering and supporting exams on WISEflow
Duration of Session: 1 hour
This workshop will provide Flow Managers with an overview of the process of transferring assessment results from WISEflow to SIMS. The process can be carried out either through the newly automated importation of assessment results process or by manually inputting the printed assessment results on SIMS.
This session covers the new terminology and features introduced in the latest version of WISEflow. It will assist academics to build examination papers that contain essay type questions, multiple-choice questions, short-answer questions and or true/false questions directly on WISEflow using FLOWmulti. It will also show how some of these question types may be set up to be automatically assessed by WISEflow. Furthermore, this session will delve into the use of the content bank feature of WISEflow which enables the author to create a repository of questions which can later be used in creating examination papers. A new feature that allows collaboration between examiners when setting an exam paper will also be covered.
