Senior Technical Support Engineer

The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for providing high-quality technical support services to our worldwide customers primarily in the English language. The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for isolating and resolving customer issues in an effective and efficient way.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide technical support for Parallels products
  • Respond to customers and prospective customers inquiries (via email, phone, request tracker, social media)
  • Contribute to Parallels knowledge base (kb.parallels.com) and create KCS articles
  • Work collaboratively with the team on known issues and bugs
  • Handle escalations to development and work together with R&D team on escalated issues.

Requirements:

Technical Support Officer

The selected candidate will be responsible for the company's IT network, servers (physical and virtual) and security systems and overall infrastructure and ensure that all systems are kept in good health. Investigate and diagnose infrastructure problems, collect IT usage statistics, make recommendations for improving the company's IT systems and carry out routine configuration and installation of IT solutions. S/he will ensure that the internal or customer support incidents are logged and resolved with the right level of quality, according to the organisation standards within the defined timescales.

Requirements:

Application Developer

As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining first class solutions for Tier 1 financial institutions around the world. Liaising with different parts of the business, you will be dealing with Business Analysts, Project Managers and other internal functions in order to fulfil client requirements.

The ideal candidate is expected to:

be in possession of a Degree in Computing or a similar recognised qualification have knowledge or experience in any of the following languages: Java, PL/SQL, C, C++ and ColdFusion. Have good knowledge of database management systems, ideally Oracle and be familiar with software development methodologies


All the above positions require candidates to have the following skill set ancillary to the outlined requirements:

  • Possess good communication skills, able to perform under pressure and have the ability to deal with and solve problems quickly and accurately;

  • Have strong organisational and time management skills, able to prioritise across different tasks and meet deadlines as per business objectives;

  • Fluency in written and spoken English;

  • Willing to travel.
