According to University Regulations, applications for a Master of Science (by Research)  may be submitted at any time of the year, but enrollment shall be with effect from one of the following dates: 1st October, 1st December, 1st February, 1st April and 1st June.

AS OF JULY 2015, ONLY GRADUATES FROM UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES WORTH 240 ECTS WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENROLL FOR A M.SC.BY RESEARCH. ALL OTHERS WILL HAVE TO FOLLOW A TAUGHT M.SC.

 

New applicants need to submit an application together with a detailed proposal and a recommendation from supervisor and Head of Department (If Head of Department is the supervisor, a signature from a senior member of the department is required). Please read the guidelines which can be found under the Resources Section for further details on how to submit a proposal.

 

Students who apply for an M.Sc. and who will make use of external funding, must inform Faculty Office about this in their application. Furthermore, if there is a deadline to submit applications to the funding body or if the funding body needs a notice of admission to the degree from UoM, Faculty's Postgraduate committee is to be informed accordingly, so that such applications can be prioritized if deemed necessary.
