DESCRIPTION | Study-unit Content: - Sampling Theorem: relation of analog frequency response and digital frequency response; - Z-transform: time series and their z-transforms, relationships, and analysis on unit circle; - Discrete Fourier Transform: Circular convolution, linear convolution using DFT, time-frequency relationships, the FFT; - Digital Filters: FIR and IIR designs from z-transforms; - Power Spectrum Estimation: windows, window spectral leakage, narrowband and wideband spectrograms; - Homomorphic signal processing: deconvolution of convolved signals, cepstrum and quefrency; - Multirate signal processing: decimation and interpolation of the sample points, and their effect on bandwidth and time series; polyphase structures; - Linear Prediction and Optimum Linear Filters; - Power Spectrum Estimation; - Time-frequency signal processing: quadrature mirror filters, wavelet transform, relationship of QMF with wavelet theory.
