Malta-Commonwealth Third Country Training Programme on
Management of Coastal Recreational Resources
St Julians, Malta 16 - 26 April 2012
Training will consist of a combination of lectures and site visits/fieldwork concerning different aspects of coastal recreation. Lectures and case studies will be presented by the local and foreign faculty, who will also co-ordinate on-site fieldwork and trips to relevant sites around the Maltese Islands. Participants’ country presentations will help to form the basis for intensive discussions on the situations and techniques encountered in the real-life management of participants will include a cultural excursion and a farewell dinner.
Participants’ Presentations
Participants are required to present, preferably on PowerPoint, a brief but well-informed paper describing the management of coastal recreational resources in their countries. Participants’ presentations will be given throughout the course, with each participant being allocated approx. 15 minutes. These presentations should focus on the opportunities and constraints for developing and managing coastal recreational resources in the participants’ countries and each participant will be asked to focus on a specific topic which will be assigned once their participation is confirmed.
