The University of Malta does not provide financial assistance to overseas students.  Overseas students are responsible for the payment of tuition fees and accommodation expenses as well as for their living expenses.

When submitting an application for admission to the University, applicants must include an original letter from a bank (written on the bank’s letterhead with an official’s original signature and bank’s stamp or seal) stating that the applicant or the parents or the sponsor have the necessary funds to cover the tuition and accommodation fees during the applicant’s course of studies in Malta. The bank’s letter must:

  1. Be written in English;
  2. Certify that funds are available to cover the yearly tuition fees for the duration of the course as well as accommodation and living expenses (approx. 17,520 Euros per academic year)
  3. Include the applicant’s name, residence address, date of birth, country of birth and citizenship.
Applicants who are being sponsored should also submit a letter from the sponsor confirming sponsorship for the full duration of the course (i.e. covering tuition fees and accommodation expenses).

The University may not be able to reach a final decision regarding admission to a course of studies unless the bank’s (and sponsor’s, if applicable) declaration has been received.
