DESCRIPTION The aim of this study-unit is to teach and implement squash fundamentals in order for the students to be able to play successfully a game of squash at recreational level aiming to keep fit and healthy.

Study-unit Aims:

The aims of this study-unit are to implement safe basic techniques and tactical shots and to understand the mental and physical requirements of Squash.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Knowledge & Understanding:

By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to:
- Play a successful game of squash knowing full well what it entails to do so.
- Understand the importance of the safety aspect of the game first and foremost.

2. Skills:

By the end of the study-unit the student will:
- Know the basic shots such as play good lengths down the wall to the back corners; drop the ball in the front corners; volley whenever possible; understand the importance of a good serve in order to start the game with an advantage; play a match as well as referee a match.
- Know the tactical, technical and physical requirements to play a successful game of squash.
