IT Services has now relocated from its Main Site near Car Park 2 to the new building near entrance to Car Park 3 (Campus Map - Location 45).
The new premises incorporates open access learning spaces for students, computer-equipped training rooms for use by all University departments and video-conferencing facilities. Apart from these IT facilities, the new building houses the Data Centre and Network Operations Centre servicing the University via upgraded campus-wide fibre-optic infrastructure. The new building will enable the University to continue to upgrade and expand its ICT infrastructure and deliver state-of-the-art facilities and services that are required by staff and students for their research and education.
During term time the open access areas and training rooms in the new building will be available for use by all UoM students and staff from Monday to Friday from 0800 to 2000hrs. IT Services Reception & Helpdesk will open from 0800 to 1645hrs.
The new IT Services building project is part-financed by the European Union European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under Operational Programme 1 - Cohesion Policy 2007-13. Co-financing rate: 85% EU funds; 15% national funds.
