Only University staff and students may register for training courses organised by IT Services.

Supervision duties will be required during weekdays from Monday to Friday between 0800hrs and 1645hrs.

• The applicants must be Maltese students following a course in one of the following:    
  •         
  • Faculty of Education:
    1^st, 2^nd Year Secondary & 3^rd Year Primary Students
    
  •        
  • Faculty of Economics, Management & Accountancy:
    1^st, 2^nd & 3^rd Year Students
    
  •        
  • Faculty for the Built Environment:
    1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd & 4^th Year Students
    
  •        
  • Department of Physiology & Biochemistry:
    1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd & 4^th Year Students
    
  •        
  • Department of Statistics & Operations Research:
    1^st, 2^nd & 3^rd Year Students
    
  •    
• Preference will be given to applicants in possession of qualifications in computing (e.g. Intermediate level, A-level, ECDL, MOUS, MCP etc.).

• The payment rate is €3.50 per hour. A student can work a maximum of 8 hours per week. The posts are available during term time:

  • Monday 8 February to Friday 28 May 2010

The labs will be closed during the Easter recess (Monday 29 March to Sunday 11 April 2010)

• Applicants should submit a letter of application and curriculum vitae by email.

The University Library provides access to e-resources/e-journals from both on campus and off campus. These resources can be accessed as follows:

1. Visit the Library e-resources/e-journals web page.
2. Click on Subject or Title or E-Books listing. This will display a page with a list of databases.
3. Click the Database Title to access e.g. Academic Search Complete. Databases restricted to University staff & students will prompt for the IT Services User Id and password.

Remote access to restricted e-journal databases no longer requires the use of OpenVPN or Tunnelblick programs.

Queries related to the use of e-resources/e-journals databases should be addressed to the University Library Services.
