There are currently no scheduled training courses. University students and staff may request to be placed on the course waiting list. IT Services will inform them via email when the next courses will be scheduled.

University staff and students are now able to purchase the following heavily discounted Microsoft software packages from IT Services:

• MS Office 2010 Professional Plus at €45.58 and includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher and Outlook. (Sold out)
• MS Windows 7 Professional Upgrade at €34.21 and includes a licence for 32-bit or 64-bit. (Sold out)
  

• MS Windows requires a pre-existing Windows licence and is available in limited quantity.
• Each package of Windows and Office allows for one installation of the respective product.

During the Easter Recess, the IT Services Reception, Helpdesk & Open Access will be open as follows:

The University IT Services is organising orientation sessions at the start of Semester 2 for UoM students. These sessions provide students with an overview of the different facilities and services provided by IT Services, and include an introduction to the UoM VLE (Moodle) and the plagiarism detection software (Turnitin).

The sessions are held at IT Services and take approximately 1hr 45mins. A session is also held at the Faculty of Health Science lab for students based at the Medical School and the Faculty of Health Science (Mater Dei Hospital). There are no fees involved.

Urgent VLE maintenance has been scheduled for Saturday 7th January between 0600 and 0800hrs. During this time window all VLEs will be unavailable.  Apologies for any inconvenience.
