LC216 includes the following:

  • Teaching desk equipped with:
    • HDMI, VGA & 3.5mm audio jack plugs to connect to laptops/tablets
    • USB charging ports
    • electrical power points (UK/Malta & EU type)
  • x4 whiteboards, two of which were specifically installed to allow for Collaborative Classroom activities.
  • Display screens that can be set to display various content depending on desired scenario:
    • Traditional teaching and learning
      • x1 Main projection screen for displaying electronic presentations from the device connected via the connectors on the teaching desk.
      • x2 Secondary screens also for displaying electronic presentations from the device connected via the connectors on the teaching desk.
    • Collaborative Classroom
      • x1 Main projection screen for displaying electronic presentations from the device connected via the connectors on the teaching desk.
      • x1 LHS Secondary screen to display electronic presentations from the student device connected via the HDMI wall port available beneath the LHS screen.
      • x1 RHS Secondary screen to display electronic presentations from the student device connected via the HDMI wall port available beneath the RHS screen.
        If no device is connected to the HDMI wall ports, the presentation from the device (if any) connected via the connections on the teaching desk will be displayed.

        Note: Kindly ask Beadle in charge to provide you with two HDMI cables for students to be able to connect to the secondary screens.
  • Speakers
  • Wall mounted clock
  • Wireless network access.


Researchers, tutors and students are discovering the advantages of collaborative and active learning. LC216 has been designed to allow for flexibility so as to maximize teaching and learning opportunities.

Tutors and students may transform this learning space in the most adequate layout they deem suitable to teach and learn in.
