DESCRIPTION In Year 2 students are expected to do 100 hours of placement. Also in Year 2 students may opt to do their placement abroad.

Study-unit Aims

The aims of the study-unit is to teach orient the student to the world of work, to equip the student with life skills which will come useful later on in life, in addition students will be involved in worthwhile projects that will enrich their CV.

Learning Outcomes

1. Knowledge & Understanding:
By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to:

- Understand the work placement and the work environment,
- Analyse work dynamics,
- Show a mastery of administrative and supervisory work relate to the particular work environment.

2. Skills:
By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to:

- Have developed good verbal communication skills,
- Relate well with sub-ordinates, co-workers and superiors,
- Manage his/her own life skills, in particular develop important life-skills such as assertiveness, taking responsibility of own actions and working in groups together with people from different walks of life.
