Orientation Tours Introductory tours for freshers are offered from mid-September and throughout the month of October. This walking tour covers general information about the Main Library and the services it offers, basic instruction about the OPAC - our online catalogue, and a brief introduction to online journals and databases. Reservations are made at the first desk of the Reference Department. Groups meet on the ground floor lobby opposite the Circulation Desk.
The Library also offers
Course Related Tours throughout the academic year. Students obtain research help on particular subjects. Guides to specialized resources, search tips, bibliographic references, and advice on Internet Resources are provided. Database Training Workshops Students are taught advanced searching skills with particular reference to specialized databases in their subject areas, the library's e-journal packages, and advice on the evaluation of information on the Web.
