On Wednesday 18 January, the University of Malta Library hosted an interesting lecture on ‘e-Books in Libraries’ given by Ms Karen Hartman, Information Regional Officer, U.S. Embassy. The lecture was organised by the University of Malta Library together with the University of Malta’s Department of Library Information & Archive Sciences and the Malta Library & Information Association (MaLIA). The lecture covered inter alia the growing popularity of e-Books and their use and delivery in a library setting. Following a short introduction on the subject Mr Kevin J. Ellul, Director of Library Services, introduced the speaker. The lecture was well attended and was followed by a question and answer session.
