A free event organized by MaLIA and the University of Malta

The Malta Library and Information Association (MaLIA) would like to
invite you to a debate with a panel discussion regarding eBooks. During this discussion, questions relating to the expectations of library users when it comes to the introduction of eBooks in libraries will be discussed. Furthermore attendees will be given insight on how to catalogue and market eBooks and when is the right moment to start offering eBooks, amongst other questions that the panel might be asked.
The participating speakers are Kevin Joseph Ellul, Director Library Services at the University of Malta, Josianne Camilleri Vella, Executive Officer at the University of Malta Library and Milena Dobreva, Senior Lecturer at the University of Malta Department of Library Information and Archives Sciences.
The panel discussion, which is going to be held on 22 June 2012 at 17:30 at the University of Malta Library, is free. It is open to all book (and eBook) lovers and to everyone interested in knowing about the challenges of the adoption of new technologies in libraries.
