The Department of Cognitive Science conducts many experimental studies as part of ongoing research activity.

Most studies last between 15 and 60 minutes, although some may involve more than one session. In a study, you will typically be presented with visual or auditory stimuli, such as written or spoken words, and asked to make simple judgments.

In general, there are no special skills required to take part in our research. However, some studies have specific inclusion or exclusion criteria (e.g. you need to be a native speaker of Maltese or you need to be right handed), which you can read about in the study description.

If you wish to examine the list of studies that are currently available, find out more information about becoming a participant and sign up to take part in an experiment click here.

Thank you for your interest in our research and we look forward to your participation in our studies!
